We have some with white dress...the one on the right
is Cedar on the left is Cherry..
The wings are sycamore...the pix doesnt look as good

COST TO MAKE $35FOR THE LEFT ONE AND $40 FOR THE RIGHT ONE  THE ONE ON THE RIGHT HAS YELLOW HEART WOOD, WHICH IS MORE EXPENSIVE,CEDAR AND CHERRY AND OAK..THE ONE ON THE LEFT HAS CEDAR, CHERRY AND POPLAR..THE ARE BOTH BEAUTIFUL, BUT DIFFERENT

IT AMAZING ME WHEN WE PUT THE MINWAX ON WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES.  THAT SQUIRREL WAS HARD AND TOOK LOTS OF PIECES.
THE PUMPKINS ARE REALLY BIG, BUT TURNED OUT GREAT.
THIS IS ONE OF A KIND.

THE OLD COUNTRY MILL
21x12 cost $125.00

This was a hard project to make....so many different types of wood that there was a lot of single cuts..which means
you have to put together a lot of parts...I think it is beautiful in real life...the pix doesn't do it justice.....My husband did
all the sanding and gluing...I did all the cutting...that's why he did all the gluing(hahaha)...to get it right.

WOOD USED:
Sycamore, BlackWalnut, Walnut, Blue Pine,Cedar, Pink Dogwood, Cherry, Poplar, Aspen.

We found this piece of wood in NC...I loved the hole and knew I wanted a nest in it...Chuck gave me a nest and Jim help me get it in the wood.

The Humming bird

This project took Jim and Alice 20 hours. We decided that it would be fun to add the nest and baby hummers ourselves.


For the backing we chose to use White Birch. This picture is currently hanging in our living room.
